PROJECT PURPOSE

1- For First response personnel working in disaster and emergency situations with the project; • Recognize individuals living dependent on medical devices and the devices they are connected to, • Gaining correct response and evacuation skills to these individuals and the devices they are connected to in disasters and emergencies, • To learn the needs of these individuals for temporary shelter after the disaster, 2- For Families of individuals living dependent on medical devices; • It is aimed that these individuals learn the precautions they can take against disaster and emergency risks in their daily living spaces.

PROJECT TARGET AUDIENCE

1- First response and evacuation personnel working in disasters and emergencies 2- Families of all chronically dependent individuals who are bedridden and continue their vital functions depending on medical devices, especially Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) patients, and personnel who work in sheltering the victims after disasters and emergencies.

PROJECT TOPIC

The project is aimed individuals who live dependent on medical devices at; 1- Correct and effective response and evacuation methods in disaster and emergency situations, 2- Precautions to be taken regarding medical devices in daily vital areas before disasters and emergencies, 3- Determining the needs in temporary accommodation after evacuation.

PROJECT OUTPUTS

1-DISTANCE EDUCATION PORTAL Educational videos, animations and digital books on disaster and emergency response and evacuation methods will be produced for individuals who live their lives dependent on medical devices. In addition, the portal will contain training content on measures to be taken against disaster risks in existing living spaces and post-disaster temporary accommodation standards. 2-3D DEVICE GUIDE Training materials will be produced with methods such as animation and 3D, where disaster and emergency response personnel can learn about the technical characteristics, priority, importance and emergency response procedure of medical devices.
